The demand for high-quality limestone powder has been rising steadily across global industries, especially in construction, coatings, plastics, paper, and chemical production.
Egypt, as one of the world’s leading limestone resource-rich countries, has attracted growing investment in modern mineral processing equipment.
Recently, CLIRIK completed the installation and commissioning of an advanced HGM ultrafine grinding mill in Egypt. This project represents not only the technological advantages of CLIRIK’s ultrafine grinding solutions but also the increasing importance of efficient, sustainable, and precise powder processing in the Middle East region.
The newly installed HGM ultrafine mill is capable of producing limestone powder at 800 mesh fineness with an hourly output of around 3 tons. This successful installation highlights the reliability, efficiency, and adaptability of CLIRIK’s equipment in meeting local industrial requirements.
Egypt has long been known for its abundant reserves of high-purity limestone. These resources are widely used for producing ground calcium carbonate (GCC), a versatile material applied in industries such as:
Plastics and Rubber: as fillers to improve strength and reduce costs.
Paints and Coatings: as pigment extenders to enhance smoothness and coverage.
Paper Industry: to improve whiteness, opacity, and printability.
Construction Materials: as a key ingredient in cement, concrete, and mortar.
Chemical Applications: as raw materials for calcium-based compounds.
However, traditional grinding equipment often faces limitations such as high energy consumption, low output stability, and challenges in achieving ultra-fine particle sizes. To address these issues, the Egyptian customer chose CLIRIK’s HGM ultrafine grinding mill after a thorough evaluation of performance, cost-effectiveness, and long-term operational benefits.
The HGM series ultrafine grinding mill is a ring roller grinding mill independently developed and patented by CLIRIK. It is designed to produce powders ranging from 150 mesh to 3000 mesh, covering a wide variety of industrial applications.
Key Features
Can produce coarse to ultrafine powders (D97 ≤ 5 µm).
Ideal for limestone, calcite, dolomite, barite, gypsum, and other non-metallic minerals.
Advanced multi-layer grinding technology ensures high throughput.
Stable output suitable for large-scale continuous production.
Consumes 30–40% less energy compared to traditional ball mills.
Environmentally friendly with low emissions.
Equipped with PLC control system for automation.
Modular design makes replacement and maintenance simple.
Wear-resistant materials extend roller and ring life.
Optimized airflow reduces internal wear.
The installation process was carried out under the guidance of CLIRIK’s professional engineers, who traveled to Egypt to provide on-site support.
The project included:
Foundation Preparation
Ensuring a stable base for the grinding mill to reduce vibration and maintain precision.
Assembly of Main Components
Installation of grinding rollers, grinding rings, classifier, and blower system.
Connection of Auxiliary Equipment
Feed system, dust collector, control cabinet, and finished powder silo.
Test Operation and Fine-Tuning
Adjustment of rotational speed, classifier settings, and airflow to optimize particle size distribution.
Training for Local Workers
Hands-on instruction in operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure smooth long-term use.
Raw Material: Limestone
