CLIRIK offers a comprehensive range of opal crushing and grinding systems. Our technology is designed to optimize your production efficiency, significantly reduce specific energy consumption, and meet the most stringent manufacturing requirements for various opal-based products.

Material Introduction
Opal is a hydrated amorphous form of silica with the chemical formula SiO₂·nH₂O. Unlike crystalline silica, opal is composed of sub-microscopic spheres of silica arranged in a regular or irregular lattice. Its water content typically ranges from 3% to 21% by weight.
Physically, opal possesses a Mohs hardness of 5.5–6.5, making it relatively durable yet prone to fracture under extreme stress. Its most defining industrial characteristic is its high adsorption capacity and low thermal conductivity, stemming from its non-crystalline, porous micro-structure. Chemically, it is stable and resistant to most acids (except hydrofluoric acid). When processed into fine powders, opal exhibits excellent light-scattering properties and a low bulk density. These inherent traits allow it to function as a high-performance insulating filler and a specialized adsorbent in advanced chemical and material engineering.

Ground Calcium Carbonate (GCC)
Ground Calcium Carbonate (GCC) is produced by the mechanical pulverization of natural minerals like limestone or marble. Since it involves no chemical transformation, it retains the mineral’s original stability but features an irregular, fragmented structure.

Key Properties: High density, low oil absorption, and excellent flowability.

Industrial Value: Used as a “functional filler” in plastics, rubber, and coatings. It increases volume and hardness while allowing high loading levels to significantly reduce production costs.

Precipitated Calcium Carbonate (PCC)
Precipitated Calcium Carbonate (PCC), or light calcium carbonate, is a synthetic compound produced through a chemical carbonation process. By calcining limestone and reacting it with CO₂, manufacturers can precisely control the particle morphology to create specific shapes like spindles, spheres, or needles.

Key Properties: Ultra-high whiteness, narrow particle size distribution, and high sedimentation volume.

Industrial Value: Its microporous structure and large specific surface area make it ideal for high-end paper, specialized paints, and pharmaceuticals requiring reinforcement and superior brightness.

Industrial Applications
1
400 – 800 Mesh (D97: 38-18μm): Lightweight Insulation & Construction
Applications :
Primarily used as a functional filler for Thermal Insulation Boards, lightweight concrete, and decorative architectural coatings.
Advantages :
It significantly enhances the thermal and acoustic insulation properties of building materials while reducing overall weight. Its unique light-reflecting properties add a premium aesthetic finish to decorative surfaces.
2
800 – 1250 Mesh (D97: 18-10μm): Filtration Media & Paint Fillers
Applications :
Applied in Water Filtration Systems and as a high-performance matting agent in industrial paints.
Advantages :
The porous structure ensures effective removal of fine particles and impurities in liquid filtration. In paints, it provides a consistent matte finish and improves the scrub resistance of the coating.
3
1500 – 2500 Mesh (D97: 10-5μm): Specialized Adsorbents & Rubber Fillers
Applications :
Used as a carrier for Chemical Catalysts and as a reinforcing filler in specialized rubber compounds.
Advantages :
At this fineness, its high active surface area allows for maximum adsorption and controlled release of chemical agents. In rubber, it improves the tear strength and thermal stability of the final components.
4
3000 Mesh + (D97: ≤5μm): Precision Polishing & Advanced Electronics
Applications :
Specialized functional material for Precision Polishing Pastes (optics/semiconductors) and as a low-dielectric filler for electronic packaging.
Advantages :
The ultra-fine particle size ensures an exceptionally smooth, scratch-free finish on delicate surfaces. Its low dielectric constant and high purity are critical for the reliability and performance of advanced electronic components.
