Project Background
To supply high-quality 325–400 mesh fillers for the local rubber and plastics industries, our Colombian client launched a specialized processing project with a niche annual capacity of 2,000 tons. The primary challenge was the client’s extremely confined workshop, which measured just 13m × 2.5m × 5.5m. To overcome these strict spatial limitations while achieving the required fine fineness, the client selected our compact CLCM60 grinding mill, which fits the tight footprint perfectly and was successfully commissioned in 2024.

Feeding and Conveying(Material Preparation):
The raw material is loaded directly into the feeding hopper and smoothly transferred into the main unit via a robust screw conveyor. This direct connection ensures a steady, continuous, and evenly distributed material flow into the grinding chamber.
CLCM60 Main Unit (Grinding System):
Utilizing a high-speed rotating grinding disc and a specialized grinding ring gear. The material is subjected to centrifugal force and comprehensive forces—including strong impact, shearing, and friction—achieving highly efficient pulverization while providing synchronous cooling or drying.
VFD Classifier (Precision Screening):
The grinded material moves upward to the classifying zone with the airflow. Regulated by a frequency inversion system, the high-precision classifier efficiently separates coarse and fine materials. Coarse powders automatically return to the grinding zone for secondary milling, while target 10 micron particles proceed forward.
Cyclon Collection(High-efficiency Recovery):
The qualified ultra-fine powder enters the cyclone collector with the airflow for high-efficiency separation and collection. This process ensures the fine carbon black particles are collected smoothly without re-agglomerating, maintaining excellent product dispersion.
Pulse Dust Collector (Environmental Protection):
A high-efficiency dust collection system that captures any remaining ultra-fine particles from the airflow. Operating under negative pressure, it guarantees zero dust leakage, keeping a clean, pristine, and environmentally compliant production site.
Central Control System
(PLC/DCS):
The “brain” of the plant, allowing our client’s engineers to monitor vibration, temperature, and pressure in real-time from a visual operation room, ensuring 24/7 stable running.

Market Size and Macro Landscape
The global carbon black market has reached approximately $30 billion, expanding at a steady 4.8% to 6.3% CAGR. The Asia-Pacific region, led by China and India, dominates with over 58% of global demand, while North America and Europe spearhead the high-value shift toward premium specialty sectors and sustainable, recovered variants.
Core Driver: Tire and Rubber Reinforcement
Driven by its superior reinforcement properties, carbon black primarily serves the global rubber industry, which consumes over 80% of total output. The rapid worldwide boom in electric vehicles (EVs) has further accelerated this demand, requiring higher-performance tire reinforcing agents to ensure superior wear resistance, enhanced grip, and reduced rolling resistance for specialized EV tires.
Industry Trends
Stricter environmental regulations are accelerating a massive structural shift toward green production. Recovered carbon black (rCB) from waste tires is expanding at a CAGR exceeding 35% to satisfy global tire giants, while rising energy costs are pushing producers away from traditional coal-tar bases toward cleaner alternatives and enclosed, low-energy negative-pressure systems.
