How does grinding mill work?
Mining industry is a burgeoning industry with the every-increasing demand on mining equipment, and grinding mills are very popular in Southeast Asia, Africa, South America, and Europe. Many potential clients write to me to ask how our grinding mill works. Therefore, it is very necessary to sort out the working principle of micro powder grinding mills.

As far as the working principle is concerned, there are too many editions available, some are frequently copied by other competitors, and some are too hard to understand. Therefore, today I recommend you two most popular how-to working principles:
The latest detailed working principle of micro powder grinding mill:
After crushed by hammer crusher, the large materials become small ones and are sent to storage hopper by elevator, and then evenly sent to the upper distribution plate of the turnplate by vibrating feeder and sloping feeding pipe.

When the grinding mill is at work, all the grinding rollers are rolling in the ring, and the materials are driven to the edge of the turnplate by the centrifugal force and fall down into the grinding chambers where the materials are repeatedly pressed, crushed and grinded by the rollers.

The high-pressure air blower constantly inhales air within the grinding mill and, in turn,  the airflow with crushed materials are brought to the classifier whose high-speed impeller will screen the airflow: the unqualified particle size will fall and return to the mill for being reground while the qualified particle size mixed with air will go into the cyclone powder collector. Most of the qualified powders will fall and exit from the discharging valve at the bottom; a small proportion of the fine powders, with airflow, moves to the dust cleaner, and clings to the surface of the filter bags. At the same time, the fine powders clinging to the surface fall down by the sudden vibration of the filter bags, which is caused by the instantly ejected high-pressure gas controlled by the pulse valve. The materials from the above two lots are sent by the conveyor at the bottom to get finished powders packed. In addition, filtered clean air will be emitted from the air outlet of muffler in the end.

The second working principle for grinding mill is our previous working theory of ultrafine grinding mill, but not so detailed:

The main bearing and each dial are driven by electromotor of main machine through reducer, and numbers of roller, which are rolling in the ring, are driven by dial through plunger. After crushed by hammer crusher, the big materials become small size and are sent to storage bin by elevator. The materials will be driven to the edge of dial by centrifugal force, and fall down into the second and third ring, crushed and ground. The high pressured-centrifugal blower will inhale air from outside and blow the materials, which are ground in the third ring, to powder classifier. The rotating turbo in the powder concentrator will make the coarse materials return to the mill and reground, while the fineness will mix with the air and go to the cyclone and be discharged the discharge bin, which is at the bottom of it. The air, which mixed with very little fineness, will be purified by impulse duster and discharged by blower and muffler
